Dear Mr. Fawzi,

I was very disappointed with one of the stories you printed in your newspaper recently concerning HRH Princess Basma Bint Talal of Jordan.

With regards to the story about the twins Ahmad and Alia....I am afraid that biologically it is impossible for HRH to have borne these two children since if they are 40 years old, i.e. born in 1962, HRH Princess Basma would have been only 11 years old when she had them, which I am sure even you find hard to believe.....

Please visit HRH's website for yourself:

to confirm this.

I find it unacceptable for someone who claims to want to protect freedom of speech and journalists rights to stoop so low, and attempt to mar the reputation of a Women who has done so much for her country and her people. I had the honour of working with Her Highness, and like everyone who has ever dealt with her, respect her dedication and commitment beyond words...

You seem to have a chip on your shoulder with regards to Jordan and the Jordanian Royal Family in particular, but this is no reason to spread such malicious and evil rumours about someone as wonderful as Her Royal Highness.

As you very well know the difference between good journalism and bad one is in the CREDIBILITY...and you have definitely lost all credibility... I would have thought that someone who claims to be "the perfect journalist" would at least check his facts before printing such rubbish.....

It's a shame what evil people harbour, it is obvious your reason was not to help these two innocent twins ???? but defame a respectable and much loved Lady....

I think maybe it is time people stopped reading the rubbish you publish...maybe you will shape up and attempt to at least check your facts before spreading lies about respectable people (I assume you understand the word respectable).
