Subject : WHAT JORDANIAN SHOUD NOT HAVE CHANT DURING THEIR
DEMONSTRATION?
Dear Arab Times,
Please accept this contribution which is entitled" What Jordanian
Should Not Have Chanted During the Last Demonstration"
For the last four days, hundreds of Jordanians from all walks of life
marched throughout the capital city of Amman to vent their outrage at
the suicide bombing that rocked three of the capital hotels.
While it is important to have such demonstrations and marches and to
be together in expressing our determination to the whole world that we
are against terrorism, some banners and slogans were very annoying and
disgusting.
Things like we are here to support the King, long live King Abdulah.
Banners hoisting the king is the father of this country, our soul is
for the king, we love the King and we hate the terrorist and our blood
is for you King Abdulah . Whistling and hollering the posters of the
Monarch all are adamantly wrong and should not have been seen.
My eyes started watering only when I saw children dressed with
fatigues from head to toes holding banners that says" we will defend
our precious country" and " God bless Jordan" and "Jordan is great."
Banners which betray Jordan as a Zoo belong to the King has to stop.
Jordanian should understand the king and his family will be on the
board of the first plane out of Jordan in case of any real danger.
Dont we remember his father when he packed up and almost left the
country in chaos in 1970?....It was Wasfi Altal , the then prime
minister, who put the country back on track and the royal family was
cowardly hiding in their palaces.
May God bless Jordan and Jordanian and to those who committed the
crime "you may enjoy the hell that is awaiting you , where, to your
disappointment, you will be greated by 72 demons instead of your
stupid believe 72 virgins.
