Dear Dr. Mansour

I would like to refer to your last article من الحضيض إلى أسفل السافلين .. احزن يا قلبي published in Arab Times on the 27th Dec 2005,

I feel myself obliged to answer the said article , however before commencing I would like to stress and confirm the following :

1- I reviewed all previous replies and considered them before finalizing my response in order not to repeat the contents .

2- My answer will be in English which might not give the full impression intended to an Arabic article.

( Beginning I am one of the main supporters to the concept of using the Quran as the main source of right interpretation to our Laws and in many occasions to correct our wrong understandings ,doings and misleading practices which unfortunately has caused an intensive damage to the Islam , I do agree that using the force to fix today's problem might not be a suitable medicine to all issues .

The above was the main call for Dr.Ahmed and I strongly believe that his is an expert in this field , nonetheless Dr.Ahmed has engaged himself in discussing an issue which is out and far out of his line of education or back round .

He might give himself this right base on exercising his right as an Egyptian Citizen touched by the recent events , however making any comparison between Palestine and Egypt will take the reader in no direction and will achieve nothing due to vast difference between the two cases ( Kindly refer to Dr.Osama reply which I agree with).

In addition , repeating what has been said will add no value to the subject , and what saddens me is that Dr.Ahmed has downgraded and undermine his name for no valid reason .

My advise to Dr.Ahmed to withdraw the said article publicly in order to avoid further deterioration to his name as a specialist in Islamic Studies and to maintain his credibility )
